Your shower, priced tonight. Your tile, set right.

Tell us how many square feet of floor and wall, the tile you picked and whether there is a shower in it. You get a real price range for our labor and setting materials in about a minute. Then we look at the floor and the walls and confirm it in writing.

What we do

Floors, showers, backsplashes and the repairs in between

Thinset, grout, backer board and a waterproofing membrane in every wet area are in every price we give. The tile itself is yours to choose.

Priced on this page

Tile floors, showers and backsplashes

Floors by the square foot, walls by the square foot, the pattern and the tile size moving the job. The form at the top of the page is our real rate card.

Most asked for

Walk-in showers

A new sloped pan, a membrane over every wall, a niche for the bottles and a flood test before grout.

Kitchens

Backsplashes

Subway, mosaic or a slab-look porcelain behind the range. Small jobs welcome; the form shows our minimum.

Big tile

Large-format porcelain

Tiles over 24 inches need a flatter floor and two people to set, and we price that honestly.

Natural stone

Marble, slate and travertine

Sealed before and after grout, and laid out with you so the veining runs the way you want.

Site visit

Tile repairs, regrouting and leaks

A cracked tile, failing grout or a shower that leaks into the room below. We come and look at that rather than quote it off a form.

How we price

A number before the old tile comes up, not after it

The form at the top of this page uses our real rates. It shows a range rather than a single number because what is under the old tile, and how flat the floor really is, are things we can only settle standing in the room.

Tell us about the room

Square feet of floor and of wall, the tile, the pattern, whether the old tile comes out and whether there is a shower. The same questions we ask on the phone, answered in a minute.

See the range

Midpoint plus or minus 9%. Jobs under our $950 minimum quote at the minimum. Anything over $25,000 gets a visit instead of a number.

We look and confirm

We check the floor and the walls, tell you how much tile to buy and confirm the price in writing. Travel is priced from your ZIP. The price is the same in any month; tile is set indoors.

Notes for anyone evaluating the demo
  • Priced path. Pick Tile floors, showers and backsplashes, then: 60 square feet of floor, 90 of wall, Large format, over 24 inch, Straight or offset, old tile out Yes, 150 square feet coming out, Walk-in shower, new pan and waterproofing, 1 niche. Use ZIP 20170. The live pricing engine returns $4,722 – $5,656 with the disclaimer, and the lead lands in the demo account’s inbox. 60 square feet at $9, 90 at $14, the $350 disposal, 150 square feet of tear-out at $3.25, the $1,600 shower pan and waterproofing and a $275 niche make $4,512.50; large format is +15%, so the midpoint is $5,189.38.
  • Percentages pool, they do not compound. Lay the same bathroom in herringbone and the pattern's +22% joins the tile size's +15% in one pool of +37%, applied once to the whole $4,512.50: $5,626 – $6,739. Mosaic instead of large format is +30%: $5,338 – $6,394.
  • The tile is not in any of these numbers. The rates are labor and setting materials, and the disclaimer says so. No rule in the engine multiplies one answer by another, so a tile that costs $3 or $30 a square foot cannot set the rate; the homeowner buys it and the range stays honest.
  • Minimum floor. A backsplash: 0 square feet of floor, 30 of wall, ceramic, straight, nothing coming out, no wet area. The work is $420, under the $950 minimum, so it quotes $950 – $1,036. The low end of the band is the floor itself, not 9% below it.
  • A floor on its own. 400 square feet of plank-look porcelain, straight, 400 square feet of old flooring out, no wet area: $5,160 – $6,180.
  • Travel zone. The priced path with ZIP 22201 (Arlington) adds the outer ring’s flat fee: $4,800 – $5,749. Any ZIP outside the listed prefixes, such as 21401 (Annapolis), falls to the catch-all zone: $5,070 – $6,073, the percentage first and then the flat fee.
  • Over the ceiling. 1200 square feet of floor, 400 of wall, natural stone, herringbone, 1600 square feet out, a walk-in shower and 2 niches. The midpoint works out at $35,427, clearing the service’s $25,000 ceiling, so the widget routes to “we’ll take a proper look” rather than printing a number.
  • One thing the engine cannot do here. The tear-out is two questions, a yes or no for the disposal and a number for the labor, and nothing stops a visitor answering No to the first and still typing square feet into the second; the engine has no rule that reads one answer against another. The help text asks for 0 when nothing comes out, and the visit catches the rest.
  • Out of area. Use ZIP 99901. The visitor gets a polite decline instead of a price, and the lead is still captured.
  • Routing mode. Pick Tile repairs, regrouting and leaks. That service is in site-visit mode, so it never shows a price at all; the visitor sees “we like to see it first”. None of its questions carries a pricing rule, which the widget still validates and still records.
  • The photo question carries no rule. Photos never move the price — the engine skips them entirely. Nothing is uploaded either: on a demo the visitor can tick “I have photos I can send” and the lead records “Has photos to send, not uploaded”, which is the owner’s cue to ask for pictures on the callback. Attaching the image itself is on the roadmap.
  • The missed-call text-back. The CallMitt page replays which of five messages a missed caller would get and why. Straight about where it stands: the texting number is not live and no registration is filed yet, and the forwarded-call hook waits on that number, so today the missed call is logged by hand and the reply becomes an outbox row marked queued. It is not delivered, and a queued row that is still sitting there an hour later is retired rather than sent. The rules, the hours, the weekend, holiday and vacation branches, the quiet hours and the opt-out handling are all built and running now.
  • The widget’s color matches this site because the account’s key carries a theme color; the same script on an agency’s client site would carry the agency’s color.
