Trenches, drains and demolition, priced before the machine is loaded.

Pace out the trench or measure the shed. You get a real price range in about a minute, the machine’s trip included. We have the buried lines marked before we dig, every time, and confirm the price in writing.

How we price

A number before the trailer is hitched

The form at the top of this page uses our real rates. It shows a range rather than a single number because rock, roots and what is buried in your yard are things we only learn with the bucket in the ground.

Tell us about the job

For a trench: the feet, the depth, the ground and whether it is a French drain. For a demolition: the square feet and what it is made of.

See the range

Midpoint plus or minus 15%. Our $450 machine float is inside that number, never added at the door. Jobs under our $1,200 minimum quote at the minimum. Anything over $30,000 gets a site walk instead of a number.

We walk it and confirm

We walk the route, confirm the price in writing and put in the locate request. Travel is priced from your ZIP. The price is the same in any month.

Service area

Based in Westminster. We say what the trip costs before we make it.

Your ZIP code sets the travel line on your estimate. Moving an excavator is real money, so we put it on the page.

Notes for anyone evaluating the demo
  • Priced path. Pick Trenching and drainage, then: 120 feet, 2 to 4 feet, French drain Yes, Heavy clay, Yes, an open yard, Haul it away, lawn Yes. Use ZIP 21157. The live pricing engine returns $5,039 – $6,817. The $450 machine float, 120 feet at $16, the $450 haul-off and the $300 lawn make $3,120; the depth +25%, the French drain +55% and the clay +10% pool to +90%, so the midpoint is $5,928.
  • The base fee is inside the percentages. The engine adds the base fee to the dollars before it applies the pool, so the +90% lands on the $450 float as well as on the trench. That is honest arithmetic and it is why the band here is wider, at 15%, than on a trade with no ground to dig into.
  • A small job. 60 feet of downspout run, up to 2 feet deep, ordinary soil, dirt spread on site, lawn Yes: $1,454 – $1,967. Twenty feet of the same floors at the minimum: $1,200 – $1,380.
  • The second priced service. Pick Demolition and haul-off: 400 square feet, A wood-frame garage or barn, slab Yes, permit Yes, grade and seed Yes. $5,508 – $7,452. A 300 square foot above-ground pool is a negative percentage, −30%: $2,083 – $2,818. A 120 square foot shed floors at the service’s $1,500 minimum: $1,500 – $1,760.
  • Travel zone. The priced path with ZIP 21701 (Frederick) adds the outer ring’s flat fee: $5,209 – $7,047. ZIP 22201 (Arlington) falls to the catch-all: $5,631 – $7,618.
  • Over the ceiling. 900 feet, 4 to 6 feet deep, a French drain through rock and roots, part of it by hand: the midpoint is $43,680, over the $30,000 ceiling, so the widget routes to “we’ll take a proper look”.
  • Out of area. Use ZIP 99901. The visitor gets a polite decline instead of a price, and the lead is still captured.
  • Routing mode. Pick Foundations, land clearing and site work. That service is in site-visit mode, so it never shows a price at all; the visitor sees “we like to see it first”. None of its questions carries a pricing rule, which the widget still validates and still records.
  • The photo question carries no rule. Photos never move the price — the engine skips them entirely. Nothing is uploaded either: on a demo the visitor can tick “I have photos I can send” and the lead records “Has photos to send, not uploaded”, which is the owner’s cue to ask for pictures on the callback. Attaching the image itself is on the roadmap.
  • The missed-call text-back. The CallMitt page replays which of five messages a missed caller would get and why. Straight about where it stands: the texting number is not live and no registration is filed yet, and the forwarded-call hook waits on that number, so today the missed call is logged by hand and the reply becomes an outbox row marked queued. It is not delivered, and a queued row that is still sitting there an hour later is retired rather than sent. The rules, the hours, the weekend, holiday and vacation branches, the quiet hours and the opt-out handling are all built and running now.
  • The widget’s color matches this site because the account’s key carries a theme color; the same script on an agency’s client site would carry the agency’s color.
